I Like You...

Authoress Notes: On deviantART, there is this simple three page shadamy comic done by a person whose username is GumandPeanuts17. She mentioned that she probably do a fanfic of this or offered someone else a chance to write it. So, I told I would do it for her. Hope you shadamy fans enjoy this.^^

It was a random encounter between the two hedgehogs. One, a pink female, was on the journey to find her hero as she always did when he would set off on one of his own. The other, a crimson streaked black male, was simply traveling about as he usually did on a self-finding journey... They ended up running into one another on a deserted dusty trail on a circular rocky mountain edge. Before much could be exchanged in meeting, the earth underneath their feet began to quiver! Then the area above them, which was made of nothing but of hardened mountain soil, started crumbling causing large assorted pieces to collapse falling towards them!

"WATCH OUT!" Yelled Shadow as he swiftly pushed his gloved hands forward against the terra wall doing his best to shield the rose hedgehog beneath him.

Rose eyelids tightly shut over those eyes of Amy's as she clenched her fists against her chest. She pressed her back against the same wall in fright hoping that the raining of boulders would seise. Fright coursed thru her veins causing her body to stiffen up from the danger that commenced all around. Rose ears flattened as much as they could against the top of her head shielding their hearing from the continuous climatic rumbling from the dangerous down pour just ahead and abover her and the darker male.

A few good minutes later, after hiding in the security between the male hedgehog's body and the rocky wall behind her, pink eyelids start to arise cautiously when the sound waves of the rocky rain became silent. At first, she was relieved at knowing that she was safe from that sudden iccident, but when her emerald eyes were revealed fully... This light hue of crimson started to stain fair cheeks when she came to the realization that she was just about in the streaked arms of the Ultimate Life Form! (Shadow...? He protect me...?) That was the other thing she came to notice that was different for him to do.

While the hedge-female was distracted by the ruby streaked male who stood protectively over her, he was keeping a steady watchful eye upon the area where they had almost been crushed by shards of the mountain side that were the size of them and much BIGGER! When hard eyes the same color of his streaks was able to see that the calamity was over, he addressed this question to her: "Are you all right Amy?" He got no reply. "Amy?" To see if she was indeed all right, he turned his black quilled head in her direction. And just about the time he did that, jade and crimson entwined the second awkward eye contact came into play.

A small blush of his own tinted his tanner muzzle in feeling his heart race while his eyes bore into the ones of the female. (What is this increase in heart beat?) Was what he wondered going into a curious thought.

Right as Shadow was caught up in his confusion of his new feel of emotions, Amy leant forward pressing her lips suddenly to his! Rose eyelids had fallen over those eyes of hers as she got caught in the moment of their liplock.

Cerise eyes widened in pure shock at the bold move taken by the rose female! That blush upon his muzzle grew in size as it spread across his cheeks!

In realizing what she was doing, Amy pulled her lips away as fast as she had pressed them against his! Her jade eyes widened widely like his!

Gloved hands relinquished their pressed palms from against the rocky wall then reached up touching freshly moist lips in awe-struck. (She touched my lips with hers? What a strange gesture...) Thought the scarlet splashed male with his back facing her now.

Amy felt SO embarrassed as well as stupid for what she did! The blush tinting her apricot cheeks had flared up being a nice bright shade of red! "Um... I'm sorry!" She began with both of her index fingers and thumbs fiddling in each other. This tiny nervous smile formed on her lips as this sweatdrop trinkled down the side of her head. "I don't know what came over me!" (Stupid! Stupid!) About the time she opened her eyes to stop mentally worrying over what she had done, she caught Shadow mussing over his thoughts. And in seeing his thoughful frown... A frown replaced the somewhat grin on her muzzle... Her worrying grew worse! "Shadow...?" She spoke his name in a quiet questioning tone with a hint of curious worry in it.

Black ears stood up and twitched at hearing his name emit from the lips of the female hedgehog's who touched those against his. He turned his usual emotionless gaze to her before a gloved hand reached out taken a hold of small peach arm. Jerking her forward, his free gloved one seized the other one as this serious expression crossed his face. Deep blood red orbs began to bore into nervous soft jet eyes causing another blush to appear on her muzzle again!

"What's the meaning of that gesture you gave me?" He asked in a dead serious tone keeping his hard gaze upon her.

Amy couldn't look him straight in the eye as she had to explain that! Her face was so hot from the constant staining of the blush upon it! "Oh a kiss!" She began with her voice plagued with embarrassment once more. "It means I lo-...um... I care-...uh..." Soft fair lips closed as the pink hedgehog stopped to get the words right in her head before trying to say them. "I guess you could say it means: 'I like you.'." Was what she finally explained with a small chuckle behind her words.

That was all he needed to hear! Getting a little tighter grip on her arms, the Ultimate Life Form pulled her forward pressing his lips against hers as she did his minutes ago! It put her into a shock as it did him! And in feeling this so-called kiss once again... A fuzzy feeling began to stir in the pit of chest that him feel HAPPY...

Pulling away from a now daze embarrassed female who was blushing in confusion, he gave her a loving smirk as he leant in having their lips on an inch apart. With his eyes lighting up with something he hadn't felt in a long time since Maria, he said these affectionate words to her: "I like you too, Amy!" And he meant EVERY word of it...
